Season 1
Episode 2
In the country of Nauku, the state of Nauta, Nauka City…
2 years later.
ChikaMatsu is 6. ChikaMatsu Mishima has terrible self-esteem. ChikaMatsu is cleaning up her toys while her mom, Machi, sits on the toilet having a conversation with herself.
ChikaMatsu can hear her mom talking to herself. This is normal for ChikaMatsu to hear, & she knows that her mom, Machi, knows she's talking to herself. As long as Machi is NOT talking to fictional hallucinations, ChikaMatsu is fine.
ChikaMatsu noticed that her father was arguing over different things. “You are not even worthy of me. I knew I was making a mistake marrying a human! Now, you don't even obey me!” Orinosuke fumed at Machi.
Orinosuke had told her to go make him mana, but she had frozen, like… Machi was overstimulated and couldn't get up.
Machi tried, but her body wouldn't let her.
Orinosuke slapped her ankle as she lay on the couch, shouting “Are you broken?!”
God shouted at him “Stop it, she's overstimulated! She can't move!” So, he froze & just yelped, “Okay.”
The Next Day…
ChikaMatsu Mishima watches as her parents take her to a psychiatrist to see if Machi has autism.
ChikaMatsu Mishima felt scared because she was worried she may have autism, but she was afraid to say that aloud because she was worried people would call her an ableist for it.
Machi spoke with the therapist, hiding the personal problems they had so that she didn't embarrass her husband, and Machi ended up being diagnosed with autism.
Orinosuke was… Remorseful. He, however, was given clarity on her stemming, her talking to herself which was described by the therapist as “Scripting,” her rocking back & forth automatically to music, & her meltdowns which were akin to panic attacks when his body was too bright.
Machi never got mad at him for his brightness and actually asked him to show her while wearing sunglasses… Only to sob because she had a panic attack from merely seeing the true form of her husband due to how bright he was, and was worried she was developing an anxiety disorder.
Machi was not, Orinosuke just accidentally overstimulated.
The Next Day.
ChikaMatsu Mishima was sent to therapy next to see if anything was wrong with her as ChikaMatsu Mishima was very sad, had low self-esteem and would cry over every little mistake she made because Orinosuke would always belittle her for it.
Machi told her to be honest, so she was. This led to a serious conflict as the therapist politely told Machi & Orinosuke that “ChikaMatsu has bad self-esteem issues because Orinosuke keeps putting her down for normal things all humans do. Is that true?”
Orinosuke was frozen, he didn't want to air out his personal business. Neither did Machi.
In private, Orinosuke scolded, “ChikaMatsu Mishima! How could you lie to your therapist like that?”
ChikaMatsu Mishima: “I didn't lie… I just told her all the stuff that made me feel bad…”
Orinosuke Mishima: “And you shouldn't have aired our dirty laundry!”
Machi Mishima: “But… Orinosuke… They keep it a secret. They are legally required not to tell anyone.”
Orinosuke: “Hm? How can you take this child's side? She embarrassed us!”
Machi: “But her therapist was only speaking to you, Orinosuke!”
Orinosuke stormed away, and brooded in his bedroom over ChikaMatsu Mishima.
Orinosuke came back out with a belt, and said, “Embarrass me again, and you'll get a spanken, you hear me?”
Machi was livid, and shouted, “You can't do that! That won't leave the psychologist! It'll stay with her & us! You can't scare her into not talking to a therapist!”
Orinosuke slapped Machi, and shouted, “Don't interfere with my discipline!”
God immediately interrupted via snatching away the belt, but no one saw the Lord. It was as if the belt flew into the fire on its own.
The Lord said, “Come to the Court of Heaven. NOW.”
