Carl cried when his mother, Dida, cheated on his father, David, with his cousin, Damian, his father's nephew. It broke the family apart and then she revealed she was pregnant.
Dida then proceeded to give birth to his unbeloved sister, Carla, and Carl had never met her as he cut off contact with her as he and Damian were both 19.
Dida had raised her for 1 year before dying and Damian was given the baby, but once the baby turned 2, he died of murder by his ex-girlfriend, Dia, who planned to raise Carla, being delusional. He broke up with her over her psychosis, so she got revenge by running him over while Carla was in daycare.
This was also to win a custody battle with him as she sued him for custody of his own child after the break up, but due to her schizophrenia, lost.
What had occurred was that Damian's girlfriend, Dia, did not think this through when she killed Damian. During the relationship, Dia and Damian were very close, and for about six months, because that's how long the relationship essentially lasted, they were raising Carla together. But the problem was that while Carla and Damian were related to each other, Dia was not related to Carla. In fact, while they were living together, Dia wasn't even her step-mother; they weren't married. So, not only did Dia have no legal rights to Carla as a custodial parent in that regard, but she also didn't have any custodial rights over her through adoption.
When she sued him for custody, it was out of pure delusion that she could win. The only issue was that, one, technically, Damian was the biological father; two, she was not the biological mother; and three, they were never married, and there were no adoption proceedings. She expected the relationship to last forever until she eventually married him. But when she developed schizophrenia with psychosis and all that, he broke up with her for the safety of his child and himself. As a result, to try to get custody and get revenge on him for dumping her, she ran him over with a car. Wow. Carla was in daycare.
She went to jail.
As a result, the will came into play.
Dida's will was as follows:
If I and my husband die, my children go to my mother, if my mother dies, my husband's mother, if they die, then the fathers, if they are dead, then my son goes to my friend."
there was an update added to the will.
The Update:
"However, for Carla, no one likes her, so she goes to Damian, if he dies, then she goes to my son. I'm sure he will give her grace; Let none of my children enter foster care."
This was not true, he would not, but she was given to Carl.
Carl was the king, and his family was royal, so the social worker quickly green listed him.
The trajectory of Carla's life took a sharp turn for the best and worst. Being apart of a royal family was a good card, having a king that you see as your father that resents you because you're actually his sister resulting from an affair between his mother and his father's nephew is not in the cards.
He left her in the care of maids until he married a maid who he graduated to knight who he graduated to queen: Queen Alexandra. Alexandra treated her like a daughter from when she was 4 on up and it made her so excited to have a mother, again!
Queen Alexandra had become a knight while saving Carla from a male bear which had become aggressive at random, she was very muscular due to her love of grapes as grapes can help you grow muscle and exercise.
Carla was just eating grapes with Alexandra when a nearby bear jumped out and swiped at Carla, so she took the baby and ran and then got inside the castle with her, locked the door, and shot an arrow at the bear easily and swiftly.
As a result, it was unusually very easy for her to shoot a bow which would normally be difficult and heavy for most.
Due to her strength, King Carl made her a knight in shining armor. However, after helping her trained as he would train some of the knights since he was good at fighting, she fell in love with him and he fell on love with her.
While Carl, rejected Carla, Carla ended up seeing him as her dad and Alexandra as her mother. Alexandra fully accepted this title.
Carl was resentful, but tried not to show it. Meanwhile, Alexandra would teach her how to sing and about nordic folklore. Carla would learn the many exotic instruments her European mother owned.
Carl was not too angry at this and liked it, and he'd make sure she didn't break it.
The issue was...
At five, she broke four strings from three guitars because the quality of them was poor, there were very weak strings and they would break with normal force.
Alexandra noticed as they'd break under her normal force and bought new guitars, and then Carla noticed one string was of poor quality and so SHE WOULD TAP it but never play it, her songs always had that one oddly off tune odd little note or well done but unexpected note when she substituted it for a different string instead of tapping.
This was important as she would play for her brother, Carl, to improve his treatment of her at the invitation of Alexandra.
This cramped, rectangular theatre has mismatched plastic chairs of all shades of light blue. The curtains of the theatre are snow white. The cloud dancer white stage and beige cloud dancer white floor is wood and the walls are textured like carpet and painted black. Pure White Light is provided by pure white ceiling lights. The room is done in wintery colors and overall looks very eclectic. Among the first things one notices walking in is several black houseplants.
Carl wasn't the most fond of her, so it was odd putting when the tap or new string would arise and he'd ask "Try again," so she'd try again, same song, new note, and he'd ask "Why do you never play that one note?" And she'd say "It's broken," Because the material was weak, old and just plain awful of that one string.
Carl said "Play it," testing it. She played it and it broke as soon as she gently nudged it, her stomach sank, and she felt his deep pain because she assumed that "Oh no! You'll hate me!" She was afraid they would label her "the problem bastard child."
Carl walked up onto the stage and said "Why?" He didn't notice until she said that, had she kept playing, he would have never noticed until 2 more minutes into the 5 minutes Harmony.
Carl groaned as he leaned in and saw that it broke, and he growled "Bad string, again?" Then his eyes rolled into the back of it head an she says "Why didn't you tell me?" Clearly frustrated.
"It must be so fun breaking things?" Carl asked, livid. Carla shook her head, she was so afraid to tell him she tried to avoid this, but he knew already. He was just saying anything out of rage.
She said "I didn't- It- It broke- I was trying not to break it!"
Carl sighed, it was one bad string, not her strike. He just sat on the stage and asked "Are you scared of me?"
Absolutely. He wasn't the best dad.
Carl wasn't physically abusive at the time, but he had a bitterness to him and he'd yell at her so cruelly for the littlest things if he was in a stressed or rotten grostesque mood.
Carla said "Um.... I don't know," Not wanting to tell; She knew.
Carla didn't want him to use it against her. She was a smart girl.
The King said "Are you sure?" Looking kind of somber, like he was guilty of something.
"How do I address you?" Carla asked, changing the subject, trying to assess his face. Carl paused in curiosity.
Carl asked "What?" And she replied "How do I address your highness?" And he realized she was asking how should she address his title as king.
Carl asked "What? Uh... Your highness?" "Your highness it is!" She shouted as her fist hit the sky, she then tried to tie the broken string together.
Carl calmed down, and said "I'll buy a new string," Carl wasn't upset, anymore.
The next morning, his dinner was set before him at the dining room as he stared at Alexandra.
This average-sized, rectangular dining room has matching golden wooden furniture. The floor is medium brown wood and the walls are painted dark red and decorated with a wallpaper border of peonies of high gloss gold. Golden Light is provided by glossy golden floor lamps and a diamond ceiling light. The room is done in elegance and overall has a glossy shine to it. Among the first things one notices walking in is a collection of action figures of golden knights that belong to Carla, gifted to her by Alexandra.
Alexandra was staring at him, they were in so much love. Carla noticed his muscular tone, he was Indonesian and Has large muscles from exercising to keep himself fit for war and she did not know this, so she asked "Daddy, why is your arm always pregnant?"
Alexandra hysterically burst into laughter as he was stunned; Carl started coughing up his food with laughter because it was so funny.
Carla laughed due to the contagiousness of his laughter. Carla started asking "When is my pie gonna be done? Can we donate-"
Then we realized how mean it would sound to donate leftovers of the royal family to the poor.
"Can we donate the stuff we don't like to eat in the fridge that we buy to the poor and our- I mean, and the rest of our food if I don't eat my veggies?" Carla asked.
Carl demanded "You WILL eat your food, Carla! They can have the fridge stuff but NOT your food!"
Carl was always stern with her as he didn't like her that much.
Carl wasn't even offended, she was five. He just didn't like her.
Carla was a bright child. Alexandra always made her feel like a diva, and like she was the prettiest Celtic princess in the room.
Carla once heard him say "You don't deserve this life," and Carla replied "Why not? I'm a queen~" Then just waltz off to Alexandra.
Carla and Alexandra would tell jokes to Carl, and Carl would laugh at their jokes. He had been trying to bond with Alexandra, but most of the time any bond with Carla was accidental on his end.
However, overtime their bonds would corrode.
When Carla was 12, he would take her to the movies with Alexandra and they'd enjoy their time together.
When Carla would whisper to him, he'd have her "shush," and tell her to "shut up," much like a big brother would. She'd do as asked because she felt that being disobedient would make her look like a bad affair child...
"I don't want Carl to think I'm just some inconvenient affair kid..." She thought.
Carl has called her "unwanted," when Alexandra wasn't around and typically beat her up if he was in a particularly bad mood this year. 12 was the worst age of her life.
Carl would make sure all the maids and knights had gone out to do whatever he asked, he'd always made a bulk request if he was gonna beat her up.
One day, he was tired of her being annoying and jumping on his bed, he noticed the bed had this odd dip In it — she broke a spring.
This large, L-shaped bedroom has matching plastic furniture. The beige sandy floor is carpeted and the walls are painted coral orange and decorated with a wallpaper border of baker miller pink corals and pinkish red & frost blue seashells. Aqua blue Light is provided by pastel blue table lamps. The room is done in an oceanic theme in soft colors and overall has a playful look. Among the first things one notices walking in are a pastel yellow barn star on the wall and a beige cloud dancer white vanity.
Carl immediately told all the maids to go gather apples and oranges, grapes from the vine and dark colored blueberries as well as telling all the knights to patrol the castle and capital city so he'd be alone with her, and he told his wife to join the knights.
Once they were gone, he pulled Carla to his room and began showing her the dip, screaming "This is all your fault, Carla! Look!" Then he forced her arm, yanking it into the dip Of this new mattress after the last one gave him lice.
"This is brand new, Carla!" Then Carl slapped her so hard she fell into the closet door.
No one heard the screams but him and her, and she was begging him to "Stop, papa! I'll earn enough money for a new one! Just Treat it like a hammock, dad! Pop, Stop! Mom will notice! I don't know how to do makeup, Dad!"
The begging was wretched, and he often would stop after 2 hits. This time it was 9, plus him kicking and swinging her at the wall and spanking her. He picked her up and threw her on the bed and slapped her one more time before catching himself in the act of barbarianism.
Carla even fought back, so it was a brawl where she'd block, kick, punch, and even slap his hand away. She even slapped his face in frustration, so he threw her!
Carl realized he was unsafe to be around her, Carl was crying as he saw that he had bruised her nose, cheek, head in general and even her legs.
Carl felt no guilt until he saw her nose drip blood, his body tensed and he gripped her nose and took her to his Wife's bedroom from before she became queen and locked Carla in there for 2 hours as Carl cried because of his unending guilt.
After he let her free, she was crying the whole time. She had put napkins up her nose. He hugged her and said "I'm going to get therapy. Because... I was wrong." He caresses her cheek and kissed her forehead.
Carl said "I'm not gonna beat you up again, Carla." Guilty.
Carla said "You said that before," frustrated. He moaned, then says "It's not like that."
Carl just hugged her, and Carl said "I got mad because I have a lot of stress on my plate." Carl took Carla to a doctor and he got her treatment and checked for any broken bones.
Carl knew he was strong, and knew what he could do to a child.
Dr. Sample asked "Who beat this little girl?"
He gulped, he was too scared to say anything, but royals had immunity. However, "How can I tell him? I may have legal immunity, but... I'll go to jail... Or... Be shamed..." Carl thought, sweating beading down his forehead.
Carl said "Well, Dr. Sample, she got in a car crash. I kept it concealed." The doctor felt awful and asked "Oh my gosh, I'll make sure she has the best care, you're majesty!"
After Carla went home, they stood in the throne room as he thought of what to tell his wife before she got home, pacing his throne room in silence.
This spacious, rectangular throne room has a golden throne. The floor is gold and the walls & ceiling are painted silver. Pure white Light is provided by golden wall lamps. The room is done in golden regality. Among the first things one notices walking in are a vase of roses and a golden case of 20 silver and gold sports trophies.
Carl called his wife and told her "Carla accidentally got hit by a car, Alexandra. The driver had been awake all night I guess and passed out at the wheel, and I took her to the Hospital."
Alexandra panicked, she dry heaved and drove home as fast as possible and saw her in bandages.
In the Throne Room, Alexandra hugged her gently and asked "Who hit you, Carla!?" And Carla didn't reply as her dad was royal and was legally immune. At best, she'd be put with a relative.
Alexandra says "You didn't see him, Carla?"
Carla didn't reply.
This terrified him.

Alexandra was a hulk of a woman.

He was no where near as muscular as her.
Her daughter was lanky, so she felt responsible for her safety as a knight.
Alexandra asked "Carla, I can fight him; it's my job."
Carla said "It was an accident, mommy, he fell asleep, and... Yeah. The doctor fixed it."
Alexandra asked "Is the driver alive, Carla?"
Carl said "No, he died on the scene, Alexandra," kissing her gently on the cheek then her forehead.
Carl was trembling, he's terrified his wife will beat him to death and she's extremely loving.
Carl saw her looked... Somber, and said "Oh no! This is why you always get sleep, Carla."
The next day, Carla was tended to exclusively by doctors and Alexandra.
Meanwhile, Carl went to his large, L-shaped bedroom with matching plastic furniture. The floor is still carpeted and the walls are still painted in an oceanic theme in soft colors. It still has the barn star on the wall and a vanity for himself & his wife.
Carl paced his bedroom all throughout the day in fear of the truth coming out.
Carl went to the bathroom to think it over; The large, rectangular room has a black shower tub and sink with glass fixtures. The sink is set into a resin counter. The floor is poured dark velvet purple and the walls are painted to look like the galaxy and the starry sky. Starry holographic Light is provided by navy blue wall lamps. The room is done in colors that remind you of the night sky and overall almost looks extraterrestrial.
Carl sobbed and prayed "I beat my daughter, God. She's not at fault, and I still beat her. I beat Carla many times and I... I threw her. I picked her up and I threw her."
Carl's heart broke remembering when he dragged her by her hair that year to his room as she screamed "Can we tall it out, Carl??" Because she accidentally broke his prized trophy. She called him by his name, this was the first time she didn't use dad or pops.
This led to him screaming at her in his room and yelling "You had no right to break that trophy! I got that before you ruined everything! Before the divorce, the cheating, before it all! Yet, you persist and my trophy, a reminder of my life before that mess with a happy family is gone!"
Carla apologized and said "I know this traditional Japanese thing they do with vases that makes it look even more beautiful by using gold glue to make the cracks even more beautiful! We can be like that, we put the pieces together, and make it more beautiful, Carl?"
Carl actually paused, tears staining his face, then said "Okay, I get it."
Carl thought it over, "that's... Insightful."
Carl replied "I'm sorry."
Present day, he thought as his face was strained with regret, "We can do that."
Carl thought "What changed? Before, we were happy. Before, I was kind to that girl. I didn't have to argue with Alexandra over being so harsh with her."
Then he had a flashback to what happened:
His father, David, a bitter old man came to visit.
David saw His son, and happily greeted him, then his wife, but didn't touch Carla.
Carl sat him down at his golden dinner table and asked "How have you been? I don't... Have any good topics, so... That's it."
David stared at 12-year-old Carla as Alexandra kissed her on the cheek and they both ate food from each other's plates.
David asks "Do my feelings not matter?"
Carl felt awkward; "Is this about My sister, Carla?"
David nods.
David replied "This little bastard gets all that love & affection? What about you?"
Carl chuckled, "I get love & affection... I get way more affection in the bedroom, actually," then licked his lips, blood rushing to his cheeks. Carl winks at Alexandra who isn't paying any attention to him but to David, giving him a death stare.
David says "You look like you should have had children by now, but my only grandchild is some bastard my wife produced from an affair?"
Carl replied "I- I'm sorry... I know it's shameful, but I'm... I want children, but my job stresses me and... It's easier with just one."
David complained "So a bastard is holding you up?! An affair child is blocking your blessing for children? You're wearing condoms to block your seed from reproducing because of her?!"
Carl grew wroth, and screamed "Well! I can choose if I want one or two or three or none! I'm sorry if I'm not continuing this bloodline, but I'm busy with one already!"
David screams "It's her fault, then?"
Carl leaned back, scoffing, "I didn't even want kids. This is just you trying to push me."
Carla clutched onto her Alexandra, feeling as though she blocked her brother from having his own children unjustly.
He bellows "Carla, Alexandra, head off to your rooms!" So they gathered their food and left.
Carla was sniffling as Alexandra shouted "I wanted more children, but clearly I don't think adding more to this wretched family is wisdom!"
Carla ate with Alexandra in her bedroom while Carl argued "If I wanted more babies, I'd pull the condom off and raw dog it!! I should have when you insisted I go ram my wife, and I did, but why didn't I!? Because I'm too busy for another little animal roaming my house!"
David shut up and finally relaxed and ate with his son who did love him but is furious because of his behavior in general.
After that, David left and Carl felt humiliated.
That night, after the couple made love, Carla knocked on the door while they kissed, so Alexandra got up and put on her silver robe while he put on a golden robe.
David heard Carla yelling "Papa, can I speak to you?!"
David yelps "No! Busy!" Still horny.
Alexandra opened the door to his disappointment, and a little Carla opened it saying "Hello?"
Carl chuckled, saying "I wanted this time just for us, Alex..." referring to his beloved wife.
"Not this foreigner," resenting her because pf that argument.
Carl began to resent her even more when she asked "Am I the problem?"
Carl chuckled, and said "What?" Confused.
Alexandra asked "Why do you ask?"
Carla said "Am I why you don't have anymore children?"
His laugh burst into hysterics, he screamed "I was gonna pop on another condom and go back at it with My wife, so yeah!" Sensing it was a joke, Alexandra giggled alongside Carla.
Carla said "Um..." Giggles, "I felt like... If I wasn't here... You'd have your own little... Heir... Am I preventing an heir to the throne?"
Awkward.
His smile dropped, so did Alexandra's, just not completely and she says "Nope, we're not ready for another!"
Those pumping muscles, that body, it all made Carl more interested in getting her back in bed, but she was so busy with the child she didn't know he was trying to signal to her to remove the child.
Carl says "You are holding up our process." He's horny, not annoyed, just playful & making jokes.
So, Carla left as Alexandra explained "It's our business. Not yours or anyone else's."
Carla felt so embarrassed once she realized they were about to have sex, she thought "I really was holding it up!" Hand to her mouth.
Carl then took his wife to bed and his wife pounded him; He loves it like that.
After that, Carl had taken a shower and dressed himself and went to Carla's door and heard her say "I think it's my fault; I robbed them of having their own child." The door was wide open, and he just stood there.
Carl stood there and said "I could have my own boy if I wanted, I don't need to keep you."
Carla shrank and said "Oh... yeah... that's... yeah..." Knowing that he meant he wished he could get rid of her.
Carl said "I wasn't gonna get rid of you... But... I don't know..." Not even joking.
"Why should dad not have his own grandchildren? Raising an affair child from your mother is humiliation." He said.
She felt guilty for, in her mind, humiliating the family.
Carl said "Do you wish to be an older sister?" And he chuckled as she said "Yes..." He asked "Why?" And she said "For the family to have an heir..."
He replied "Am I not an heir?" Amd she said "You are already king?"
His pride burst, he said "I am all I need." He didn't want to have more children.
That night, he laid in bed thinking "Am I really betraying my father?"
Shame hit him in waves. He genuinely realized: "I hate her. I hate her so much."
He sat up and thought "I... Oh... He's right... The only reason i... Well, I didn't... Did i want kids before her? I can't remember. Although, she is the hold up."
He sat for longer and said "I miss mom... And yet, i absolutely hate that child..."
Slowly, over time, he'd grow more resentful, snarling at her in the throne room, retching away when she'd hug him in the kitchen, and then one day she laid in his bed and he awoke, and shouts "Get out of my room!" Then He shoved her onto the floor.
His wife woke up, and said "Baby?" Saw Carla het up crying and said "Honey, are you okay?" Concerned, and he just said "Stop looking at her like she's our daughter, Alexandra, she's a bastard!"
She snarled "That's a bold thing to say to someone who could snap you in half," then she picked Carla up with ease, her muscular frame coming in handy and took her to her room saying "He's been having a hard time, give him some space."
Once she placed her in bed, she said "It's okay. What happened?"
Carla said as she was tucked under the duvet "I had a nightmare."
Alexandra replied "Well, Don't worry. Umm... It's not real."
The next day, he ended up sobbing in his room and Carla came in and asked "Are you okay?" And he looks back at Carla with the utmost bitterness, and says "I abandoned our mother..."
He wiped his noses, tears and snot coating the back of his hand.
He stood: "You got to be with her for 1 year and 3 months."
Then he said as he gripped her neck, he didn't choke, he just held her by the neck: "An extra one if you include her time in the hospital, another two in hospice."
Carla said "Please let go of my neck..."
He replies "I'm not squeezing."
Carla replied "I know, but don't actually do it..." trembling.
"Then you stayed with your incestuous father and he got murdered by that psycho." He chuckled, "You are a product of all that led to her and me being separated."
Carla screeched, tears welling: "Well, it's not my fault! I didn't even know what happened! I was a fetus!"
He chuckled then let go of her neck and says "I lost so much time and you're tied to why that is." He just hates her now.
(Captions): Present day...
He stood in the bathroom and just went back to crying.
The next day, her 13th birthday came around.
She looked up at him looming over her in the throne room and said "I feel like... Maybe today is gonna be good."
Carla flinched when he hugged her, and then he tugged her, just a bit, and she ran to wherever he desired.
Carla asked "Can I dress like a flower?" And Alexandra waltz in and replied "Try Hawaiian. Those flowers are gorgeous!"
Carla ran to her with open arms and jumped into her, Alexandra picked her up and asked "Are you alright, love?"
Carla nodded, then he says "I don't want anything to do with the party if Dad's coming."
Alexandra replied "He's upset about... The incident." Unwilling to bring up what was eating at him: the affair.
Carl knew what she was referring to, and scoffed "I can help with the décor, but um... Babe, you don't have to top toe around my problems." He was angry that nobody wanted to talk about it, actually made him hate Carla more when she did that.
Carl left the throne room and just laid in his own and prayed "Lord, am I a bad father?" Wanting truth, but no reply came.
Carl begged "Am I? Please, be honest!" Suddenly, God reminded him of the times he beat Carla.
This was his answer: "Yes."
Carl got up and repented and went to Carla and said "I'm sorry, baby," Then kissed her cheek in an odd moment of tenderness.
To be connecting.
