In Nauku, arranged marriages are forbidden unless the government oversees them & the participants are the same age or within the same age group, but close by one year & are unrelated & opposite sex.

The government typically arranges the marriage if the parents of the child being arranged are from cultures that allow incest, pedophilia or multiple wives as polygamy & those things are illegal.

By this I mean that the government will take over the process, block marriages if they're of illegal standing, and even force a wait time where the people in the situation must wait until both marital candidates are 18+.
